VVPAT will be used for all 182 seats in Gujarat. Gujarat will be the second state to use VVPAT in all assembly seats. VVPAT was used in the sole election of Gandhinagar assembly seat in 2014 and there was no report of any complaint or complaint about the incident.
In the next assembly elections, about 4 thousand 27 lakh voters of Gujarat are going to exercise their franchise on 48 thousand polling booths. Gujarat currently has 15 thousand 774 control units and 1577 ballet units available.
Control and ballet units are an important part of EVMs. 70 thousand VVPs have been allocated for Gujarat elections. Of which 46,000 VVP devices will be new and will be brought directly from BEL and ECIL.
Complaints of voting in one of the parties arise because some political parties have been disrupted after EVMs after election results. The VVPAT will be able to verify that the candidate who has voted for his choice candidate.
